Story

Ceramic made entirely by hand in the Calchaquíes Valleys.

Calchaquíes is the historic name for a partial group of the diaguita ethnicity. They live in Salta, Jujuy, Catamarca, and Tucuman in the North of Argentina.

The word ‘Calcha’ means ‘Brave’ and ‘Qui’ means ‘Very’ so the word Calchaquí means Very brave.

Their art is characteristic of their pictographs. They are about human or animal figures and they paint their ideas in different elements such as vases and masks.

Limited edition of 2 handmade and unique Calchaquies vases.
